For the curious mind.

MISSION

Thoughtwyre explains
what’s already known
— plainly, from another
angle, and across
subjects that don’t
usually get connected.

Every piece is built from published work, credited on the page.

VISION
A world where understanding isn’t locked inside disciplines, journals,
or jargon — where a curious mind can follow an idea wherever it
actually leads.
SUBJECTS

What we publish

Science & Technology

How the physical world works, and how the things we build work. Physics, biology, chemistry, mathematics, earth and space, computing, environment

Health & Longevity

What's actually established about the body, ageing, and staying well — and what's still argued over. Explanatory, not advice. Disease and disorder, nutrition, ageing, medicine.

History & Culture

How things came to be the way they are — places, languages, objects, and the decisions behind them. History, geography, language and writing, everyday objects

Belief & Meaning

Questions that don’t resolve empirically, treated seriously and without a verdict, Theology, philosophy, ethics, religion and its history, questions of self.

Mind & Behaviour

Perception, memory, and why people do what they do — including the things acting on us that we never notice. Psychology, cognition, perception, attention, habit.

Crossover

Pieces that sit between subjects, where the connection is the point. Crossover has no fields line. It draws on the five subjects above rather than covering fields of its own.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Sunil Kilaru is the person behind Thoughtwyre. He’s not a scientist, historian, or theologian, and this site doesn’t present him as one.
His background is in advertising and brand strategy — an agency he founded and ran for close to three decades — and before that, television and corporate communication. All of it was work that meant taking specialist material and making it clear to a wider audience. That’s the actual skill behind this site: judgment over material he didn’t originate, represented clearly and honestly.
